TurfTrax is to launch its Surface Intelligence Platform at the 80th edition of Europe’s cutting-edge trade show for the grounds management, sports turf, and landscaping industries, at the NEC, Birmingham, UK beginning on Wednesday, 11 November.
The Surface Intelligence Platform combines new and existing technologies to capture, aggregate, harvest and analyse moisture, composition and environmental data to deliver real-time insight into performance surfaces serving global sporting environments and leisure.
Comprising three principal layers a hardware-led Data Capture layer, Data Aggregation layer expanding on the existing TurfTrax Data Hub, and a Surface Intelligence Engine, the Surface Intelligence Platform turns complex surface behaviour into actionable decision support for sports arena owners.
Commenting on the technology and the decision to launch at SALTEX, TurfTrax Managing Director Mike Maher said, “The Surface Intelligence Platform is a natural evolution both of our products and our business. For almost three decades TurfTrax has been recording and processing large volumes of data collected by our clients in vastly different environmental settings across three continents.
“The result is a multi-device ecosystem capturing the three core variables in surface management – moisture, composition and environment. Combining new and existing technologies the Surface Intelligence Platform enables us to help sports and leisure arena owners and managers gain a better understanding of how these three crucial elements work together prompting better decisions for performance, safety, and welfare across turf, sand and synthetic surfaces.
“Over two days SALTEX brings together representatives of almost every sector of the ground management community and provides the ideal showcase for TurfTrax and the Surface Intelligence Platform.”
Interactive demonstrations of the Surface Intelligence Platform will be available at SALTEX in Hall 17-19 Stand E014.
