Delegator joins Godolphin team
Brian Meehan's 2000 Guineas and St James's Palace Stakes runner-up Delegator has been snapped up to join Godolphin. The son of Dansili found only Sea The Stars too strong in the Newmarket Classic and was just a neck behind Mastercraftsman at Royal Ascot. Godolphin's racing manager Simon Crisford told www.godolphin.

Dettori at the double
Frankie Dettori completed a 27-1 double, highlighted by the success of Godolphin's Kirklees in the Helical Bar Gala Stakes, to kick off Coral-Eclipse weekend at Sandown. Although Sheikh Mohammed's operation are without a representative in Saturday's feature, there was plenty to like about Kirklees' four-length romp as the 85-40 favourite.

Oxx hoping for Star performance
John Oxx expects Sea The Stars to have improved since his thrilling win in the Derby as he puts his reputation on the line in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown. The brilliant three-year-old has few questions to answer against his own age group having won the 2000 Guineas over a mile and the Derby over 12 furlongs.

Hatton takes flight in Cup
Hatton Flight is looking to bounce back from a disappointing Royal Ascot in the bet365 Old Newton Cup at Haydock. The five-year-old parted company with his rider soon after leaving the stalls in the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes, but trainer Andrew Balding reports his charge to be none the worse and is hopeful he will run well.

Conduit targeting Eclipse glory
The team behind Conduit are hoping he can burst the Sea The Stars bubble in the Coral-Eclipse Stakes at Sandown. Already a Breeders' Cup and St Leger winner, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained four-year-old reappeared in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes where he narrowly failed to concede 7lb to the reopposing Cima De Triomphe.
